HART December, 2018 Service Changes

HART Routes 45, 60LX, 360LX, & the TECOline Streetcar

Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART) will be enacting a few route changes on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Changes include routing/scheduling changes to Routes 45, 60LX, & 360LX, as well as minor scheduling changes for the TECOline Streetcar Line.

Note: These changes were already in the works prior to the passage of the All For Transportation referendum & would have been enacted regardless of the election results on November 6, 2018.

HART “Patron Notice” flyer, summarizing the changes.

HART Bus System

  • Route 45: Due to safety concerns, buses will no longer travel east-west along Waters Ave. Buses will instead use North Boulevard, Busch Blvd, and Florida Ave to connect to the Yukon St Transfer Center. Minor scheduling changes will result from this reroute.
  • Routes 60LX & 360LX: At the request of management at Westfield Brandon Mall, Routes 60LX & 360LX will no longer serve the mall property. Both routes will instead use alternate routing through the Brandon area and terminate at respective HART-designated park-n-ride lots.
    • Route 60LX buses will connect to the Culbreath Park-N-Ride Lot, located at 3420 Culbreath Rd, Valrico, FL 33596, via US Hwy 301 & Bloomingdale Ave.
    • Customers wishing to connect to Westfield Brandon Mall can do so via one of the following avenues.
      • Transfer to Brandon Flex along Bloomingdale Ave between S. Kings Ave & Providence Rd.
      • Transfer to Routes 8 or 31 at the intersection of Bloomingdale Ave & Providence Rd or at the intersection of Bloomingdale Ave & Gornto Lake Rd/Duncan Rd.
      • Transfer to Route 8 at the intersection of US Hwy 301 & Bloomingdale Ave/Progress Blvd.
    • Route 360LX buses will connect to the J.C. Handly Park-N-Ride Lot, located at 3007 S. Kings Ave Brandon, FL 33511, via a clockwise loop. Buses will use the existing routing along Causeway Blvd between US Hwy 301 & Gornto Lake Rd. From there, buses will travel clockwise along Lumsden Rd, S. Kings Rd – serving the Park-N-Ride Lot, then along Bloomingdale Ave, & then Providence Rd – before returning westbound to Lumsden/Causeway & US Hwy 301.
    • Customers wishing to connect to Westfield Brandon Mall can do so via one of the following avenues.
      • Transfer to Brandon Flex along Bloomingdale Ave between S. Kings Ave & Providence Rd.
      • Transfer to Routes 8 or 31 along Providence Rd, just north of Bloomingdale Ave.
      • Transfer to Route 8 at the intersection of Causeway Blvd at Gornto Lake Rd.
    • Additionally, customers can transfer between Routes 60LX & 360LX along Bloomingdale Ave between S. Kings Rd & Providence Rd. Connections with Route 25LX during weekday peak hours is also available.
      • For those who typically use the J.C. Handly Park-N-Ride Lot to connect to Route 25LX, this new setup allows for a direct link between South Tampa & MacDill Air Force Base & the Park-N-Ride Lot outside of Route 25LX operating hours.
  • Please keep in mind that overnight parking at the HART-designated Park-N-Ride Lots is NOT PERMITTED. All vehicles left overnight are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

TECOline Streetcar Line

  • There will be a minor “last trip of the night” schedule adjustment made to improve efficiency. Otherwise, no other changes will be enacted.
