Temporary Service Reductions for The Rapid

Effective 01/02/2024.

Like many transit agencies, The Rapid has been dealing with staffing issues – which has caused missed trips during the day, which in-turn causes increased rider frustration. The agency will be temporarily decreasing weekday daytime frequency on some of its mainstay supporting routes until further notice in order to maintain reliable service across its network – particularly across its mainstay core network. Weekday evening & weekend services will remain unaffected by these changes.

The following routes will be impacted by these temporary changes & schedules will be uploaded as soon as they become available.

• Route 5 – Wealthy (from every 30 minutes to every 45 minutes)
• Route 8 – Prairie (from every 30 minutes to every 45 minutes)
• Route 28 – 28th St (midday weekday frequency will reduce from every 18 minutes to every 30 minutes)
