The Spark travels down US Hwy 19 (also known as 34th St S) from the vicinity of Grand Central Station to 54th Ave S. Buses then travel a short distance on 54th Ave S to serve Eckerd College before reversing direction for northbound service.

Customers may transfer to a variety of PSTA routes along the Spark corridor:
- Grand Central Station
- Routes 5, 9A/B, 11, 18A/B, 34, 66, the Central Ave Trolley, & SunRunner.
- A street-side stop on Central Ave is also available for MCAT Route 203.
- 34th St S @ 4th Ave S
- Route 66.

- Route 49.
- 34th St S @ 22nd Ave S
- Route 24.
- 34th St S @ 46th Ave S
- Routes 11 & 20.
- Walk 4 blocks south to 50th Ave S to access the MCAT Route 203 southbound stop.

Schedule
While there is no published schedule for Spark, buses generally operate every 15 to 30 minutes, 7-days-a-week. Google Maps, Transit, or Moovit to track how far away their bus is & when it is predicted to arrive.

Enhanced evening service on Friday & Saturday is designed to provide seamless connectivity with the SunRunner – allowing customers to access dining, retail, & entertainment options during these popular times.
Fares
One-way trips cost the standard $2.25. Unlike the SunRunner, cash is accepted on Spark buses. Customers using cash will need to board using the front door & pay at the farebox. Customers using contactless payment methods (such as Flamingo Fares, contactless debit or credit cards, or mobile wallet apps such as Google Pay) can board using any door & pay using the card validator on board. Information regarding reduced fares & those who are able to ride PSTA buses at no cost will need to check the fare information page for further details.
Fleet
As its name implies, Spark uses battery electric buses. A sub-fleet of seven 40′ Gillig Low Floor Plus battery electric buses equipped with the plug-style rear door option are used on the route. These buses look nearly identical to the rest of PSTA’s battery electric-powered Gillig bus fleet & have standard exterior bike racks mounted on the front bumper. Each bike rack can hold up to two bikes at a time.
Like the SunRunner, Spark buses make stops at all designated Spark stations along the route. However, because the buses can technically serve as backup units on PSTA’s other fixed routes, they are equipped with pull cords.
