System Overview
TARTA largely operates using a hub-spoke system, where buses originate out of a central hub. A vast majority of TARTA’s routes originate out of the Huron Street Hub in downtown Toledo. Buses line up street-side along Huron St, with a few routes lining up along Cherry St. A customer service center is located at the corner of Huron & Cherry.
The Huron St Hub serves Routes 2, 5, 10L, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, & 34.
Most bus routes operate during all days of the week, with Route 3 only operating weekdays (trips operate all day).
In addition to TARTA’s main fixed routes, the agency operates a tri-zone on-demand flex service (TARTA Flex) that operates in portions of Lucas County & a portion of Wood County.
