Even the most magical place on Earth has a public transportation system!

Walt Disney World is renowned throughout the world for its delightful family experiences. However, it’s also known for its impressive transportation system, which includes various bus lines serving its four parks, numerous resort hotels, & other on-site venues, as well as its innovative monorail system connecting the Magic Kingdom & Epcot parks. This page will highlight some of the transportation services available at the park, as well as how residents & visitors alike can visit the resort complex via the LYNX bus system.

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (also known as LYNX) operates several bus routes to & from Walt Disney World. Two routes directly connect downtown Orlando to Disney Springs, with one of those routes continuing onward to Disney’s Ticket & Transportation Center located just outside the entrance to the Magic Kingdom Park. There’s also a route that connects the Ticket & Transportation Center to the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Center. Additionally, several routes serve Disney Springs during certain parts of the AM & PM hours to help those commuting to & from the park, as well as those commuting to & from off-site Disney area hotels.

The Walt Disney World Resort employs an expansive bus network to transport park guests to & from the various theme parks, as well as connect guests who are staying at the park to & from on-site resort hotels. At some parks & hotels, water transportation may be available via vintage-style ferryboats or water taxi services.

The world-renowned Walt Disney World Monorail System connects all three on-site Magic Kingdom hotels to the Magic Kingdom Park & the Ticket & Transportation Center, with a spur loop connecting the TTC to Epcot. Guests travelling between the TTC & Magic Kingdom directly can use the Magic Kingdom Express Line, allowing hotel guests to use the local Resort Line. Those heading to & from Epcot can use the Epcot Line.

If travelling between Epcot & Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can use the Skyliner gondola when weather conditions permit. During instances of inclement weather, bus bridges will be operated. The same goes for when the monorail & the gondola experience widespread technical issues.

Finally, the park also provides a on-demand van service through Lyft called the Minnie Van, which are happily decorated in Minnie Mouse’s signature polka dots. All vehicles are operated by Disney cast members.

Quick disclaimer, for Disney Transport buses that have newer wrapping, my nickname for them is Character Gallery. It is by no means the official naming for these wraps.
