Local, Limited Express, & BRT Routes

SunRunner

1st Avenues/St. Pete Beach (Bus Rapid Transit)

The route is abbreviated as either SR or SUN on maps & real-time applications.
Signage on buses have the route abbreviated as SUN.

Downtown St. Petersburg, 1st Avenues, Grand Central District (eastbound street-side stop at Grand Central Station, westbound street-side stop at 1st Ave N between 32nd St N & 34th St N), Pasadena Ave S, Palms of Pasadena Hospital (street-side stops), Corey Ave Shopping District, Gulf Blvd, Pinellas County Beach Access @ 4700 Gulf Blvd.

Service operates 7-days-a-week from 6:00am until 12-midnight.

  • Buses depart every 15 minutes between 6:00am & 8:00pm, Sunday through Thursday.
  • Buses depart every 15 minutes between 6:00am & 12-midnight, Friday & Saturday.
  • Buses depart every 30 minutes between 8:00pm & 12-midnight, Sunday through Thursday.

Core Local Bus Routes

The following routes typically operate every 15 to 20 minutes during the day on weekdays, every 30 minutes during weekday evenings & during the day on Saturdays, & every hour during all other times.

  • Route 4 – 4th St: 25 Way S @ Roy Hanna Dr, 4 St S, Coquina Key (Selected trips – See schedule), University of South Florida (USF) St. Petersburg Campus, Downtown St. Petersburg, 4 St N, Gateway Mall, MLK St N, Gateway Crossings Shopping Center, Roosevelt Blvd, 28th St N, 118th Ave N, 34th St N, 34th St Transfer Center (PSTA Facility).
    • Get Sparked! Battery electric buses operate almost exclusively on this route.
  • Route 18 – Seminole Blvd/Bay Pines: Park Street Terminal (Downtown Clearwater), Missouri Ave & Seminole Blvd (US Hwy Alt 19), Largo Mall (most trips – see schedule), Seminole City Center, Bay Pines VA Medical Center (most trips – see schedule), Tyrone Blvd, Tyrone Square Mall, 1st Avenues, Grand Central Station. Updated on 2/2/25 with minor running time changes.
  • Route 59 – Ulmerton Rd: 34th St Transfer Center (PSTA Facility), 34th St N, Ulmerton Rd/SR 688, ICOT Center, Largo Mall (westbound buses enter the mall parking lot while eastbound buses do not – see below for stop locations), Walsingham Rd, Indian Rocks Shopping Center (street-side stops), Indian Rocks Beach (1st St @ 4th Ave).
    • Note: Eastbound buses (to the PSTA 34th St Transfer Center) do not enter the Largo Mall complex. Customers may catch a bus at either stop # 3742 (by Olive Garden) or stop # 3744 (by Red Lobster). Westbound buses enter the Largo Mall complex, stopping at stop # 3651 (by Target).

The following routes typically operate every 25 to 35 minutes during the day on weekdays, with 30 to 45 minute frequency during the day on Saturdays (though some routes operate every hour) & every hour during all other times.

  • Route 9 – MLK St N: Grand Central Station, St. Petersburg High School, St. Anthony’s Hospital, Downtown St. Petersburg, Pinellas County Health Department, St. Anthony’s Hospital, Highland Ave N (Northbound Only), MLK St N, Rutland Plaza, Fossil Park/Willis S. Johns Recreation Center, Gateway Mall, 83rd Ave N (Northbound Only), 77th Ave N (Southbound Only), Baypoint Commerce Center (formerly Koger Office Center), 4th St N, Northern Clockwise Loop to 116th Ave N and Goodwill Industries via Roosevelt Blvd, MLK St N, 4th St N, Gandy Blvd, San Martin Blvd, Paticia Rd, and 83rd Ave N – Loop also has street-side stops next to Derby Lane (#3289, Gandy Blvd N + Shady Lane Blvd) & the entrance to Weedon Island Preserve (# 6261, San Martin Blvd + Ridgeway Dr NE).
    • Note: The Gateway Mall transfer platform is not served on northbound trips. Customers wishing to connect to or from a northbound Route 9 bus will need to do so along MLK St N between 77th Ave N and 83rd Ave N.
      • Available stops are: # 3039 (MLK St N + 79th Ave N), # 3043 (8001 MLK St N), & # 3056 (MLK St N + 83rd Ave N).
  • Route 14 – Pasadena/Midtown: Downtown St. Petersburg, Bayfront Medical Center Hospital, 18 Ave S, Grand Central Station, Gulfport Blvd, Pasadena Ave, Palms of Pasadena Hospital.
    • Interlines with Route 16 on weekdays (every other eastbound trip).
  • Route 19 – US Hwy 19 North: Tarpon Springs (Huey Ave @ Tarpon Ave), Tarpon Mall, US Hwy 19, Countryside Mall (SR 580 @ Summerdale Dr), Drew St, Hampton Rd (Northbound Only), McMullen Booth Rd (Southbound Only), Gulf to Bay Blvd (Southbound Only), Clearwater Mall, Tri-City Plaza, Largo Commons Walmart, Largo Transit Center.
    • Connects to GoPasco Route 19.
  • Route 23 – Downtown St. Petersburg/Tyrone Square via 22nd Ave S/Gulfport: Tyrone Square Mall, Gulfport Casino, Lakeview Shopping Center, 22 Ave S, Downtown St. Petersburg.
  • Route 34 – US Hwy 19 South (34th St N/S): Largo Transit Center, Largo Commons Walmart, Whitney Rd, US Hwy 19, Tri-City Plaza, Pinellas Park Transit Center, Shoppes at Park Place, 34th St N, Grand Central Station, 34th St S, Pinellas Technical College, Gibbs High School, Eckerd College (Selected Monday through Saturday trips – See schedule).
  • Route 52 – Downtown St. Petersburg/Downtown Clearwater via East Bay Dr/49th St: Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal), Clearwater Largo Rd, West Bay/East Bay Drive, Largo Commons WalMart (Largo Transit Center), Pinellas Technical College, Roosevelt Blvd, 49th St N, Pinellas County Criminal Justice Center, 118th Ave, 34th St N, 34th St N Transfer Center (PSTA Facility),  Shoppes at Park Place (Pinellas Park Transit Center), Central Ave, Grand Central Station.
  • Route 60 – State Rd 60: Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal), Cleveland St, Gulf-to-Bay Blvd/60, Clearwater Mall, Drew St & Bayview Ave (select trips – see schedule).
  • Route 74 – Park Blvd: Gateway Mall, MLK St N, 94th Ave N, 16th St N, 102nd Ave N, Gandy Blvd, Shoppes at Park Place (Pinellas Park Transit Center), Park Plaza, Park 66 Shopping Center, Lake Seminole Park, Park Blvd/74 Ave N, Lake Seminole Park, Seminole City Center.
    • Due to construction, the stop at the corner of Gandy Blvd & Grand Ave (# 3038) is closed. Customers may board the bus using stop # 2994 at the corner of Gandy Blvd & Sunset Blvd.
  • Route 78 – Countryside/Clearwater via State Rd 580: Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal), Clear Bay Terrace Apartments, Dunedin City Hall, Mease Dunedin Hosptial, Mease Manor, Main St/580, Countryside Mall (SR 580 @ Summerdale Dr).
  • Route 79 – 66th St N: Largo Commons WalMart (Largo Transit Center), 58th St, Ulmerton Rd, 66 St N, Park 66 Shopping Center, Tyrone Square Mall, St. Petersburg College, Lutheran Residences, Bethany Towers, Pasadena Shopping Center, Gulfport Blvd/22 Ave S, 5 Ave S, Grand Central Station, Downtown St. Petersburg.

Supporting Local Bus Routes

These routes typically operate every hour, regardless of the time of day (though a couple of routes operate every 30 minutes during peak hours). Some routes listed below do not operate on Sundays.

  • Route 5 – Downtown St. Petersburg/Tyrone Square via 5th Ave N: Grand Central Station, St. Petersburg College Gibbs Campus, Admiral Farragut Academy, Azalea Middle School, St. Petersburg Science Center, Tyrone Square Mall.
  • Route 7 – Downtown St. Petersburg/Tyrone Square via 9th Ave N/Midtown: Downtown St. Petersburg, Jordan Park, Campbell Park, Grand Central Station, Tyrone Gardens Shopping Center, Tyrone Square Mall.
    • Interlines with Route 15.
  • Route 11 – 28th St N/37th St S: Pinellas Point (25th Way S + Roy Hanna Dr S), Pinellas Point Dr, 62nd Ave S, 31st St S, Seville Square, 54th Ave S, 37th St S, Skyway Plaza, Lakewood High School, Pinellas Technical College, Grand Central Station, 28th St N, Joe’s Creek Industrial Park, Crystal Lakes Manor (Selected trips – See schedule), Pinellas Park Transit Center, Shoppes at Park Place, Gateway Centre Pkwy, Scherer Dr, 34th St N, 34th St Transfer Center (PSTA Facility).

  • Route 15 – Gulfport/Midtown: Downtown St. Petersburg, 15th Ave S, Gibbs High School, Grand Central Station, Town Shores Apartments, Gulfport Casino.
    • Interlines with Routes 7 & 20.
  • Route 16 – 16th St N: Downtown St. Petersburg, St. Anthony’s Hospital (Northbound Only), 16th St N, Woodlawn Park, Northeast High School, Meadowlawn Middle School, 77th Ave N, Gateway Mall.
    • Interlines with Route 14 on weekdays.
  • Route 20 – South St. Petersburg/Tyrone Square: Tyrone Square Mall, Edward White Hospital, Downtown St. Petersburg, 9 St S/Dr ML King St, Skyway Plaza, Pinellas Point Dr, Pinellas Point (25th Way S + Roy Hanna Dr S).
    • Interlines with Route 7. Also interlines with Route 68 (on weekdays only).
  • Route 22 – 22nd Ave N: Tyrone Square Mall, Crossroads Shopping Center, 22nd Ave N, Northwest Community Center. Eastern Terminus is at 22nd Ave N and 4th St N, buses then loop around via 4th St N, 30th Ave N, and MLK St N, going back to 22nd Ave N westbound.
    • Operates Monday through Saturday only.
  • Route 32 – Downtown St. Petersburg Circulator: Downtown St. Petersburg, Sunshine Senior Center, Mirror Lake Area, St. Anthony’s Hospital, John Knox Apartments, Tropicana Field, Graham Park, Bayfront Medical Center, All Children’s Hospital, Suncoast Medical Center, University Walk Publix.
    • Operates Monday through Saturday only.
  • Route 38 – 38th Ave N: Downtown St. Petersburg, Beach Dr NE, Northeast Shopping Center, Colony Shopping Center, St. Petersburg Medical Center Hospital, Tyrone Square Mall.
    • Interlines with Route 75.
  • Route 58 – 118th Ave NGateway Mall, 4 St N, Roosevelt Blvd, 118 Ave, Bryan Dairy Rd, 102 Ave N/CR 296, St. Petersburg College (most trips – see schedule), 113 St N, Seminole City Center.
    • Operates weekdays only, with no late AM/midday service.
  • Route 61 – Dunedin/Indian Rocks: Countryside Mall (SR 580 @ Summerdale Dr), Palm Lake Village, County Rd 1, Main St/580, Mease Manor, Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal), Missouri Ave/Seminole Blvd, Goodens Crossing, Indian Rocks Shopping Center (buses enter the parking lot).
  • Route 62 – Tyrone Square/Boot Ranch: Tyrone Square Mall, 71 St N/Belcher Rd, Countryside Mall (SR 580 @ Summerdale Dr), The Shoppes of Boot Ranch.
  • Route 65 – Clearwater/Indian Rocks/Seminole: Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal), Morton Plant Hospital, Diagnostic Clinic, Largo Medical Center, Sun Coast Hospital, Indian Rocks Rd, Indian Rocks Shopping Center, Seminole City Center.
  • Route 66L – Tarpon Springs/Clearwater Limited: Tarpon Springs, Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, Tarpon Mall, Alternate 19, Causeway Plaza, Bayshore Blvd, Main St/580, Mease Manor, Patricia/Highland Ave, Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater Fundamental Middle School (only when classes are in session), Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal).
    • Operates weekdays only, with extremely limited service. The Jolley Trolley Coastal Route provides alternative service along Alternate 19.
    • An extra bus operates on trips serving Clearwater Fundamental Middle School when classes are in session.
  • Route 67 – Clearwater/Oldsmar: Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal), Drew St, Hercules Ave, Countryside Mall, Enterprise Rd, McMullen Booth Rd/611, SR 580, Tampa Rd/584, Oldsmar City Hall, Downtown Oldsmar, Nielsen Media Research.
    • Operates Monday through Saturday only.
  • Route 68 – John’s Pass/Tyrone Square: Tyrone Square Mall, Tyrone Blvd, Bay Pines VA Medical Center (buses do not enter the complex), Bay Pines VA Regional Office (buses do not enter the complex), Maderia Beach Shopping Center, Gulf Blvd, John’s Pass Village.
    • Interlines with Route 20 on weekdays.
  • Route 73 – Starkey Rd: Tyrone Square Mall, 66 St N, 46 Ave N, Park St, Starkey Rd, Keene Rd, Highland Ave, Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal).
    • Operates Monday through Saturday only.
  • Route 75 – 54th Ave N: Gateway Mall, Shoppes at Park Place (Pinellas Park Transit Center), US 19/34 St N, 54th Ave N, Five Towns, Park Street, 22nd Ave N, Tyrone Square Mall.
    • Interlines with Route 38.
  • Route 76 – Countryside/Clearwater via Top of the World: Downtown Clearwater (Park Street Terminal), Cleveland St, St. Petersburg College, On Top of the World East and West (most trips – see schedule), Countryside Mall (SR 580 @ Summerdale Dr).
    • Operates Monday through Saturday only.
  • Route 90 – Pinellas Point/St. Pete Beach: Pinellas Point (25th Way S + Roy Hanna Dr S), Palm View Apartments, The Woods Apartments, Don CeSar Beach Resort, Tradewinds Resort, St. Pete Beach, 75th Ave @ Gulf Dr Transfer Point.
    • Operates limited AM & PM commuter-style service during the week.
  • Route 812 – SR 580/Oldsmar/Town-N-Country: Van Route – Countryside Mall (SR 580 @ Summerdale Dr), Countryside Blvd, Curlew Rd, Curlew Creek Elementary, McMullen Booth Rd, Shoppes at Boot Ranch, East Lake Woodlands Shopping Center, Oldsmar Sports Complex, SR 580/584 (Tampa Rd/Hillsborough Ave), Oldsmar Flea Market, North Bay Shopping Center, Sheldon Rd, HART Northwest Transfer Center.
    • Operates Monday through Saturday only.

Limited Express Routes

These routes operate with limited stops along some segments but customers pay the local bus fare to board.

Route 52LX

East Bay Dr/49th St Limited Express

This weekday-only limited stop variant of the 52 traverses the entire length of the local 52, but with less stops and service to the Carillon Business Park. Also, the Avalon Ave/150th Ave N deviation is not served. Please see the route schedule for exact departure times.

Regional Express Routes

PSTA operates two regional express bus routes between Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. Service operates during weekdays only with peak AM and PM service operating every 45 to 60 minutes, with limited midday trips available. Both routes utilize regular Gillig Low Floor transit buses, but the 300X utilize specifically branded Gillig buses that are equipped with interior luggage racks. Please keep in mind that the one-way express fare is $3.00 and that not all marked PSTA bus stops are served by the express routes. To ensure that you’re arriving at an express route stop, simply look for signs like these below.

Route 100X

Downtown St. Petersburg/Downtown Tampa

  • At Gateway Mall, customers may transfer to:

  • At the PSTA 34th St N Transfer Center, customers may transfer to:
    • Routes 4, 11, 52, 52LX, & 59.
  • At the TPA Airport Bus Hub, customers may transfer to:
