HART Flex Service

Page was last updated on 11/13/2023.

Originally introduced in 2010, HART has operated its HART Flex van service. This service is mainly designed to serve areas with lower ridership where it may not be worth operating a traditional transit bus through. Flex routes can also, via a phone reservation, deviate into areas where traditional buses may not be able to reach.

HART currently operates two different Flex services throughout Hillsborough County – the east Fletcher Ave corridor, & South County (Ruskin). Previous Flex zones included Brandon, Carrollwood, Town-N-Country, Northdale, & South Tampa (Palma Ceia & mid WestShore, as well as Port Tampa City).

Schedules

All Flex zones operate on an hourly basis. Service span can vary, so please see the route flyers for the most current information.

At this time, the only HART Flex route that is accepting reservations for route deviations is the South County route. All other routes listed are only conducting walk-up service. To utilize walk-up service, simply locate the HART bus stop with the FLEX decal.
