Being able to use public transit systems in other states really saves on the costs of renting a car.

It saves a lot of hassle too – especially not having to deal with whether the rental car facility has enough vehicles available for rent.

While there are situations where renting a car is inevitable due to where you’re traveling to, I try to use transit as much as possible to get around the cities that I’m visiting so that I’m not having to worry as much about having to shell out several hundred dollars on rental car costs alone & can use the cost savings on transit fares, food, & attractions instead.
